Based on the grind variations we have to offer, we would suggest the following based on your brewing method:
Cafetière - Course
Chemex - Medium
Filter/V60 - Medium
Aeropress - Medium
Espresso - Fine
Moka Pot - Fine
However, some people prefer a more course grind for methods such as Chemex so in this case the course grind option would work as well. There is also the case for the Aeropress where you may prefer a finer grind, in which case selecting fine grind type will work.
To be honest, this is entirely up to you and how you like your coffee to taste.
Brewing methods such as the cafetière, or French Press as it is more commonly known, often produces coffee that has a heavier body and lower clarity. Popular drip methods such as V-60 and Chemex often use filter papers and this results in a cleaner and brighter cup.
We recommend that you use the coffee as soon as possible to get the best flavours from the coffee, especially if you buy it ground already. Each bag of coffee also states the roasting date and the best before date.
